Coaching and Mentorship

For 25 years, Rachel Cohen McKenna has coached, taught, and advised Emmy

Award winning, Golden Globe winning, and Tony nominated actors. Her individualized

approach toward each student, and her professional experience in so many parts of the Broadway Industry, give her a unique point of view and angle, and brings her students success over and over again.

Rachel holds a BFA in musical theatre from Syracuse University.  Her gentle, supportive, and non-judgmental approach leads to a comfortable, fun, and productive environment. Her warm-up exercises and technical training focus on vocal technique, and applying that technique to every song and character, assuring each and every student makes strong, character-driven choices without sacrificing healthy technique. Students leave feeling confident, and ready to work.

 

Rachel's work in the NY entertainment industry as a former agent, manager, director and music director means she has worked alongside the top casting offices, discussing the specifics of  "what they're looking for". This experience gives her special insight into what is current in "the business". Part of working with Rachel means adding a mentor to your team with a wealth of knowlege that includes, and reaches beyond the artistic aspect.
